Horse meat may be back on the menu
Wed Nov 30, 2011
People are really prejudiced. I'm a conservative and I don't think horses should be eaten in the U.S. I love how people blindly and dimly cast assertions like they know what they're talking about: you have to be a liberal to believe this; you have to a conservative to believe that. Non-sense.
What does rising inequality suggest about the American dream?
Wed Nov 16, 2011
With American Corporations sending 1/2 their jobs overseas, not giving raises for years at a time, being beholden to Wall Street instead of Main Street, and creating an American economy that actually cannot support them, because there is literally are not enough people who can continue to buy their …
Do you agree with the Supreme Court ruling allowing corporations and unions to spend freely in political campaigns?
Thu Jan 21, 2010
Wow, first Corporations get to legally bribe our elected officials in order to sway them the way they want to vote, and now we're going to have them donating as much as they want to their lackeys and also whack us with their propaganda on television. What wisdome the Supreme Court has!
Ex-Cavs coach: We tanked season to get LeBron
Thu Jan 14, 2010
What a dumb article! Tanking is a team purposely losing games. The Cavs didn't not purposely lose games. They decided the best route for them was to go young, have the best chance possible getting the #1 pick, and build for the future. You see teams doing that every year.
Will Mark McGwire be elected to Hall after admitting steroid use?

If you cheated you're out!
Optimistic for Hall of Fame induction in 2011
Sat Jan 9, 2010
Quite frankly, if you had not played 22 seasons and racked up 3,700 strikeouts, which comes out to a measly 168 average per season; dragged your career on endlessly to get 287 career wins, which is only a pedestrian 13 wins per season; and then campaigned for your inclusion with the likes of the …
Does Bert Blyleven deserve to be in the Hall of Fame?
Tue Dec 29, 2009
A pitcher who only averaged 13 wins per year and with only a .534 lifetime winning percentage (that's really, really mediocore at best) and who wasn't as good as Luis Tiant, Tommy John, or Ron Guidry (all the aces of their staffs and the creme of the crop during the same time period--none of whom …
Why I should get that Hall call today
Sun Dec 27, 2009
2 great seasons, 14 good seasons and 6 terrible seasons do not a Hall of Fame player make. If Tommy John, Ron Guidry, and Luis Tiant, all aces of their staffs during your era are not in the Hall of Fame then I can't see the case for you. You were a very nice pitcher, but not HOF.
Making my case for the Hall of Fame

Meet Albert Pujols, the modern-day Babe
Fri Sep 4, 2009
When Ruth played ball, centerfield in Yankee Stadium was 460 ft. Now it's 408 ft. If Ruth played in the small parks of today he literally may have hit 100 homeruns in a season. Ruth usually hit 50 to 60 homers, batted .350 or better, and drove in 160 runs per year in a 154 game schedule.
